Note to Self - Creating several profitable businesses

I believe there is a formula to get to at least $5,000USD in monthly revenue for basically any technology business. If you know it, creating several $5k businesses sounds like something one should do, doesn't it?

Competition doesn't matter. Crowded market doesn't matter. Odds are your customers haven't heard of any of your competitors either way. So, solve a problem, get users, and make sure they stay with you. All you need are 10 new paying users every month that pay you $42USD and in one year you have a $5k/ month business. Do that 3 times (simultaneously if you want) and you have $15k every month in your pocket. Sounds good (and doable) to me.

If you ask me, it’s easier to target businesses to get those 10 additional customers each month that pay $42USD. If you ask me again, the easiest way to get 10 additional customers each month is to not reinvent the wheel. Rather, do something someone is doing, but better. Generally, that means introducing technology to a previously manual business proposition or industry, or, it means giving much better customer service than the incumbents, maybe even offer a lower price than the incumbents. It’s all on the table.

You don’t have to invent a new technology, or invent something at all. All you have to do is do something better than a company that has clients. Then, you poach those clients. Keep it simple.
