Learning is everything
Being good at learning is all important for many things in life
Learn, try, do, fail, learn some more. That’s the motto. In entrepreneurship it’s alpha and omega, because the faster you are able to learn from your mistakes, the faster you will grow and become unstoppable. I think it is the key to becoming successful because it will give you such an advantage against others who don’t learn.
One thing I have really gone into the rabbit hole on lately is creating viral content for businesses. There are a lot of creators who know how to, very few businesses do. And so, it becomes an advantage to know how to. And I am seeing more and more young entrepreneurs who have the feel for it creating businesses and becoming successful. They know how to distribute a certain type of content on TikTok and they launch a business taking advantage of that. Distribution first, product second. This of course is dangerous because you have to create a good product so that it actually is a business, but, leveraging distribution is super important because you can grow much faster that way. The way they do it is that they apply what they know in terms of content creation, which is make a bunch of content, try out different hooks, video types, scripts etc, mass produce it, and see what works. Then learn, iterate and use what works and being the process again until you have the perfect way to become viral over and over again. It is super cool to see. This of course is something performance marketers have known for a while. You have to try a bunch of different ads and variation and learn from that to see what works. But these young entrepreneurs are just insanely aggressive with this. They create a monster amount of content every day and just learn and learn and learn.
Which brings me back to my initial point. Learning and knowing how to learn fast is everything. It applies to everything, but in this case in particular, entrepreneurship, and more than anything distribution. Of course you have to have the same mentality for your product. You have to launch it, learn, iterate and keep going. It is the only way, and the best entrepreneurs know how to do this. It is interesting to see how these young entrepreneurs know how this works. Hopefully they are able to apply it to product as well, which is a little bit more difficult because it is not as straight forward. It requires a deeper understanding of your users and how product development works. But still, I am sure they can figure it out, because, at the end of the day they learn fast.
